Stage one of the Greater Wellington Regional Council's Hutt River Stopbank and Flood Protection Works is now underway.   This involves the construction of a $11 million stopbank through the old Boulcott and Hutt Golf Clubs.  TIC (as subcontractor to Goodmans Construction) have started enabling works involving the construction of new greens and tees to allow the stopbank construction to proceed while play continues on the Boulcotts Heritage Farm Golf Club course.
